Kai and I sharing the foam roller in our living room. I’ve been a huge fan of the foam roller for years! I used to like it for my legs and still do but the real treat is that it pops my back. Of course, when we got to New Zealand, I immediately started searching for my beloved foam roller. Yes, I use it everyday. Doesn’t seem to be that common in New Zealand so I special ordered it to the local sporting goods store. I paid $70 for my back popper. Pretty cheap if you think about the money you’ll save from chiropractic visits. Most of my Ohope friends have “rolled it out” after having dinner at our house and were really into it.
Surprisingly, Kai is pretty keen toward the foam roller. It’s pretty stiff and hurts a little but the outcome is similar to a deep tissue massage. Like mother, like son.

Never heard of a foam roller! Then again, there’s a lot I’ve not heard of! Life is good! Checking it out and thinking of investing in one! Is it more of a massage than a workout? Either one is fine. Thanks for the info.
We have one too!! Admittedly, Rob uses it a lot more than I do, but it always feels great… in that slightly painful way, when I use it.
Amber, I’m so glad to hear that you’re rolling it out in Honolulu! It didn’t always pop my back but does now, and I love it! Do you or Rob get a back pop out of it?
Mary, it’s definitely a “massage tool.” It’s quite popular at physical therapy offices as they love to focus on the IT band, which is oh so painful.
havent’t fell in love with the roller yet but i do love my big ball maybe kai will teach me how one of these days
I definitely LOVE to roll it out. xo
You and me both! I need to get a mini that will fit in my roller bag. That way I can bust it out on the plane when main cabin gets a “little tight.”
