As I write this post, Baby Kai is a healthy 6 1/2 months old. He also has no desire to take the bottle, binky or anything other than the boob. We’ve tried different bottles, different locations, different positions, with me, without me and he clearly isn’t interested in the bottle. But, he’s a happy, healthy baby so who cares about the bottle…

A few weeks ago, it occured to me that the bottle for Kai is like a condom for me-just NOT as good as the real thing. As strange as this analogy is, can I blame him? No, definitely not. The last couple of days he’s been getting after his sippy cup. He doesn’t seem to drink a lot of milk but he’s happy and chews on it so that’s good. Lately he loves to drink my water out of a pint glass. Maybe he really will skip the bottle? Cheers!
